Visits Can Be Nice

Becky had a special visit this weekend. D. Chad Richardson of the 6th Quorum of the Seventies was in Norman for Stake conference and came by to visit with Becky. He shared the story of the brother of Jared. He shared how the Lord gave the brother of Jared the wind to steer the ships , instructed him how to get air into the barges and the brother of Jared had to figure how to solve the problem of light. He explained how the Lord does the same for us; gives us some things, teaches us others and lets us figure out some things too and after all we do, he is there to finish the job . He gave Becky a plastic crystal to remind her of these things. He said the crystal reminded him of the stone the brother of Jared made to furnish light for the ships. He gave her a blessing and told her learn more about the gospel and to have faith. I imagine this was a great experience for all involved. I think we could all learn more of the gospel and have more faith. I think no matter what blessings and trials we have it would be good to work on those things. May we all remember Becky, Will and all those that know and love them and keep them in our prayers.
